Things You'll Need:
- Toilet paper tube
- Scissors
-
Step 1
Empty toilet paper tubeEmpty the toilet paper tube. Hopefully you know how to do this.
-
Step 2
Cleaned toilet paper tubeRemove any leftover pieces of toilet paper from the toilet paper tube. Your kitty won’t like getting that stuff caught in her mouth. One of my cats chews on the toilet paper while it’s still on the roll, but even he doesn’t like the little leftover pieces to be on his toy.
-
Step 3
Falttened toilet paper tubeFlatten the toilet paper tube. Don’t worry about flattening it too much, just try and get it smooshed a bit.
-
Step 4
Cut a ring off the toilet paper tubeLine the scissor blades up parallel to the edge of the end of the toilet paper tube, about ½ inches from the end. Cut a ring off the end of the toilet paper tube using the scissors. Make sure that you don’t cut at an angle; you want the rings to be complete rings and not just pieces of toilet paper tube.
-
Step 5
Cutting rings offMove the blades back another ½ inch from where the new end is and cut another ring off. Keep doing this until the entire toilet paper tube has been cut into rings.
-
Step 6
Toilet paper tube ringsTake each ring and unfold it so that it forms a circle instead of just a flattened ring.
-
Step 7
Cat toys ready to be played withToss the rings in the air a few times until your cat notices them, and then toss a couple for him to play with. Most cats love carrying the rings around and tossing them into the air.
