1. Make sure you are eligible by checking to see if you fit into the Federal Poverty Income Levels. To be eligible must have an income of no more than 130% of the Income Level that applies to you.

   3 people: $1,907
   4 people: $2,297
   5 people: $2,687
   6 people: $3,077
   7 people: $3,467
   8 people: $3,857

2. Also you must reside in Florida and be a U.S. citizen or be a qualified non-citizen. You must also have a social security number or provide proof that you have applied for one.

3. Make sure you have never been convicted of dealing drugs, that you are not a fugitive of a felony warrant, and that you have not broken the food stamp rules on purpose.
