Step 1
You have to understand your priorities when working at home as a mom. For example, speaking to a potential client is more important than watching TV with your child.
-
Step 2
You have to decide you work hours, and stick to those work hours.
-
Step 3
If your child is young, consider having a family member come over and help you, but if your child is a little older, explain to him or her that mommy needs quiet time during these particular hours. You can still take care of your kids while working at home, but you must also take care of business.
-
Step 4
It’s important to take care of yourself, your family, and your business. Working from home can cause you to lose sense of reality, and it’s easier to work over-time sitting in the comfort of your own home.
-
Step 5
Remember, your family needs you, and together, you can all work to make sure that everything and everyone is taken care of.
