Instructions

    • 1

Register for a My UPS account at ups.com (see Resources). This will be your point of entry to the services that UPS offers online, including tracking shipments, creating labels, receiving notifications, and payment by credit card.

    • 2

Log into your My UPS account and click on the "Shipping" tab. Select "Create a Shipment." Here, you will find a page in which you can enter the details of your shipment in just one page. These sections are divided into six (6) questions:
      Where is the shipment going?
      Where is this coming from?
      What are you shipping?
How would you like to ship?
Would you like to add reference numbers to this shipment (optional)
How would you like to pay?

    • 3

Review your shipment details. You will see an organized summary of all the information you've entered. You can edit each detail by clicking the "Edit" link beside the information you want to change. Then, finalize your shipping details by clicking "Ship Now." Here, you can void your current shipment, create a return shipment or schedule a pick up or drop off.

Create your label. The information you entered for the above questions will form part of your label. Print your label. Use a regular sheet of bond paper and cut it to size then secure it with tape to your package. You can also print on label stickers for a more professional and clean look.

    • 5

Give UPS your package. Based on the option you chose in Step 3, you can either drop off the package at a UPS branch near you or wait for UPS to pick it up on the collection schedule you chose.

Tips & Warnings

  • You can choose from a lot of payment options; however, your transactions will be faster and easier if you have a UPS account, because it reduces the need for more paperwork. UPS makes it easy for you to ship multiple items by allowing you to ship up to 20 packages in one transaction. You can also track these packages by adding a reference number to each package.

  • You would need the weighing scale when you get to the "What are you shipping section" where you need to enter the weight of your package.
