How to Clean Black Walnut Stain From Hands

Pour some vegetable oil directly on your palms. Other oils will also help remove the stain, but vegetable oil is recommended because it is readily available in most people's homes, and it is all-natural.

Rub your hands together, working the oil over the entire surface of your hands.

Take a paper towel and begin dabbing off the oil. Dabbing keeps the mess from spreading; if you rub the oil, you may accidentally smear some of the black walnut stain back into a clean area of your hand. Keep dabbing until you've sopped up most the oil and stain.

Run your hands under water to wash off the remaining oil and stain. Use an outdoor hose, since it is possible for the washed-off stain to discolor your sink.

Inspect your hands; if you still have a lot of stain on your skin, repeat Steps 1 through 4.

Wash your hands with soap and water to remove any leftover oily residue after you're sure all the stain has been removed.

Will also say we tried detergent, shampoo, vinegar, alcohol, carpet cleaner and I think he gave up after that. Isn't there a commercial cleaner for this problem? If not please someone get busy and invent one.LOL.

My husband tried using Murphy's Oil Soap almost right away but it didn't get but maybe a little off. He used bleach afterwards and that seemed to get some out but he still has black hands...HELP!

I have used dish soap, mineral spirits, alcohol, sos pads and vinegar nothing seems to phase it.

lemon juice, dish liquid and a lot of repeating this processes helped us a lot. but, doing this immediately helps a lot. if you wait the oil from the black walnut absorbs deeper into your skin. we got a lot of the stain off with the lemon juice and dish liquid. I also used cheap shampoo because its the best stain remover I have ever used on laundry!

tried mineral spirits, goof-off, nailpolish remove, alcohol, lemon juice... All I can say is NEVER hull walnuts without industrial strength gloves.
