Things You'll Need:
-
Step 1
Unplug your current power supply from its electrical outlet.
-
Step 2
Remove the side access panel of your case. You may have to remove two thumbscrews on the rear face of the case in order to slide the panel free.
-
Step 3
Unplug all power connectors to devices within your PC from your current power supply unit. Typical devices are hard drives, floppy drives, optical drives, motherboards, and graphics cards.
-
Step 4
Unscrew the four mounting screws for the power supply unit on the rear face of the computer's case with a screwdriver.
-
Step 5
Slide the power supply forward towards the front face of the computer case; and then, once free, out of the case altogether. It should slide easily forward and out.
-
Step 6
Reversing step five, position your Antec power supply along the same power supply bay and slide it backwards towards the rear of the computer case.
-
Step 7
Secure it in place by reinserting the four mounting screws removed in step four.
-
Step 8
Reattach all power connections to their respective devices. Now is a good time to apply zip ties and cabling sleeving for cable management if desired.
-
Step 9
Replace your computer case's side-access panel and replace any thumbscrews removed previously.
-
Step 10
Connect the included A.C. power cable to the power supply and electrical outlet.
-
Step 11
Power on your system to ensure all devices are receiving power and that your Antec power supply is not faulty.
