1
Dampen the dust cloth very slightly. You want only enough moisture on the cloth to pick up the dust without moving it around or grinding it into the finish of your lime oak furniture. The best way to do this is to set your spray bottle to the finest mist possible and mist one side of the dust cloth one time.
-
2
Wipe the lime oak furniture with the slightly damp side of the dust cloth, starting at the top and wiping with the grain of the wood. No water should be left behind on the furniture. If there is water remaining, the cloth is too wet. Quickly wipe the water away with a dry cloth.

-
3
Scrub any dirt spots or fingerprints that remain very lightly and gently. Try and follow the grain of the wood as much as possible.
-
4
Turn the dust cloth over and wipe down the lime oak furniture, following the grain, to make sure you remove any remaining moisture.
-
5
Remove dust from any corners, carved areas or crevices using a dry cotton swab.

Tips & Warnings
Old cotton socks slipped on your hand work great for cleaning lime oak furniture.
Do not spray the water on to the cloth over the wood furniture. Do it away from the furniture. Do not use any cloth that could scratch or damage the finish, such as terry cloth or other rough cloth. Carefully consider the long-term effects of any commercial dusting sprays. They can leave oily build-ups that attract dust and that make it difficult to refinish furniture later. Some of their ingredients can also break down the finish on your lime oak furniture prematurely.
