How to Download DVD Shrink

DVD Shrink is a freeware application that allows you to back up DVDs, create new DVDs and rip DVDs to your hard drive. DVD Shrink allows you to choose which portions of the DVD to rip and burn to a new disk. The interface is easy to use, with clear menus each step of the way. You can also choose to compress the DVD. For instance, you may be able to fit dual-layer disks on a single disk with minimal loss of audio and video quality. Downloading DVD Shrink takes only a few minutes.

      Follow the link in Resources section to Mr. Bass's freeware directory.

      Click the "dvdshrink32setup.zip" file; choose "Save As" and select where to save the file. If the download dialog box doesn't appear, look for a gold bar at the top of the screen that says a pop-up was prevented. Click the bar and choose "Temporarily Allow Pop-ups From This Site." You may need to click the link again.

      Wait for the file to download. The file is 1.4 MB, which should take less than 1 minute on high-speed connections and less than 10 minutes on dial-up connections.

      Double-click the file you downloaded to install DVD Shrink. The installation is governed by an easy-to-follow installation wizard.

      Restart your computer after the installation is complete.
