Keep the Fleas off your pet
Keep the Fleas off your pet

Summer is approaching and one thing every pet owner dreads is the fleas. There are natural remedies that will help you keep those pests away.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Garlic
  • Cedar oil
  • Cedar mulch
  1. Step 1

Cedar is a natural repellent for fleas and many other insects.
You can control fleas in the yard and pet kennels by placing Cedar Mulch around the perimeter of the kennel. Simply make 12 inch wide borders around the kennel. Fill the borders in with about 2 inches of Cedar Mulch. Add flowers for a decorative look.

  2. Step 2

You can also keep fleas off your pet by putting a few drops of Cedar Oil on the back of your pet then rub it through. You can purchase Cedar Oil in your local farm market or health food store.
Putting a few drops on your pets coat twice a week will help in repelling fleas.

  3. Step 3

Garlic is a natural flea repellent as well. Try adding 1/2 tsp. of minced garlic or 1 garlic clove to your pets food each day. The Garlic will be excreted in their glands and repel the fleas.

This is another safe and natural way to repel fleas.
