In the new MySpace profiles, a person can no longer use standard HTML code to change fonts in MySpace. Unfortunately, the new profiles use CSS codes to operate. However, a person can use a CSS code to change the fonts in the About Me section and other parts of the profile.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • CSS code
  • MySpace Account
  1. Step 1
    CSS Code
    CSS Code

First, one must program the style of the font in. This requires the head tag, style tag, header tags, and perhaps other CSS programming code, depending on what is desired to be done to the font. The picture at the left shows an example of code that can be used on MySpace. (Double left click on the picture with the mouse to see an enlarged version). However, keep in mind that part of this code will disappear when edit profile is selected later, so try to make the code what is desired the first time.
The code provided is just an example. Other colors can be used such as blue, red, magenta, green, etc. The text can be made even larger than than example by changing the px number.

  2. Step 2

If desired, other items can be added to this CSS code such as font type, special formatting, and other items can be added to the CSS code. Tags such as font-family, margin left, margin right, font-weight, line-height, and others may be added to further develop the text used. A complete guide to web pages and books on how to implement these tags can be found at www.w3c.org/Style/CSS/learning.

  3. Step 3

When implementing any CSS into a profile, the profile itself must be checked to ensure the code is operating properly. Reprogram the size and colors according to what is personally desired.
