Things You'll Need:
- A well loved dog
-
Step 1
Take all decorative clothing off of your dog. Sweaters are fine in cold weather, but only if the dog needs it and the weather warrants it. Dogs generally do not like to wear clothes because it hampers their ability to move. Shades can also annoy an animal because they generally do not like things on their nose, blocking their view, or squishing their head in elastic. Check to make sure their collar isn't too tight too.
-
Step 2
When writing letters, don't have your dog sign the card, at least not with a paw print. If your animal has the ability to sign its name legibly with a pen, then go for it. If it has no idea what you are doing when you ink up the paw, it probably shouldn't be signing correspondence by force. Make sure your dog is clean, free of fleas and ticks, with a nice brushed coat instead.
-
Step 3
Never talk to your dog in baby talk. This just embarrasses the animal. Your dog only wants to have a cool owner who plays, has fun, and exercises it often.
-
Step 4
Never ever set a place for your dog at dinner. Dogs who sit in chairs and eat with bibs have already begun plotting to take over the world. A nice clean food and water dish are all a dog really wants.
-
Step 5
Never let your dog pre-rinse your plates. If you skip this step, then please warn all guests before inviting them to your house. Some people food can be harmful to dogs so let it earn a nice dog treat instead.
