Many women gain weight when they start using birth control pills, but it doesn't have to happen! Learn how to avoid weight gain from the pill.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

First, understand why birth control pills may lead to weight gain:
    1. They can increase your appetite, causing you to eat more.
    2. Some pills may cause you to retain water.
There are no chemicals in birth controls that actually adds fat to your body.

  2. Step 2

Drink at least 8 glasses of water every day. Thirst is often confused for hunger, so being well hydrated can help you avoid the afternoon munchies. Also, drinking plenty of water can help combat water retention.

  3. Step 3

Start your day off with a high fiber breakfast, such as oatmeal or bran cereal. The extra fiber will help you feel fuller, longer.

  4. Step 4

Eat several small meals throughout the day. For example, instead of having a sandwich and chips for lunch, have an apple at 10 am, a garden salad at lunchtime and a snack size bag of popcorn for an afternoon snack.

  5. Step 5

Add more activity into your day. You don't have to commit to a full hour - or even 1/2 hour - of working out everyday. Break it up into small chunks. Take a walk at lunch. Get up to talk to co-workers instead of e-mailing. Park as far away from stores/buildings as you can.

  6. Step 6

Two or three days a week, do a round of strength training to help build your muscle mass. This may help you prevent water weight gain - and can also increase your metabolism (so if you end up eating more, you'll burn it off). For example, do several sets of push-ups, crunches and lunges.

  7. Step 7

If water weight gain seems to be the problem (i.e. your fingers, ankles or feet seem swollen), cut back on the amount of salt in your diet. Avoid processed foods and take the salt shaker off the table.

  8. Step 8

If water weight gain continues to be a problem, consider using an over-the-counter diuretic (water pill) to help flush things out.

on 5/30/2009 Diet pills are very tempting things if you want to lose weight, especially if you have tried several conventional weight loss diets without success.Maybe one of your diet buddies has decided to buy diet pills, or maybe you've seen or heard a commercial for diet supplements promising easy fast weight loss. That's the reason my girlfriend started using diet pills and honestly I wasn't expecting any good result in such short time period. Now I am more in love with my girlfriend :) she used stripfat pills which is very famous in Europe. If you want to see some results this product is new and better than any on the market. She also used hydroxycut but she didn't really see any positive result. True story.http://aigg07.stripfat.hop.clickbank.net
