Many American’s try to diet and can’t stop their food cravings long enough to lose a few pounds. This can be very frustrating and cause you to not be successful with your diet. There are ways you can take extra steps to avoid food cravings.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Chew gum to avoid food cravings. If you have an urge to snack then stick a piece of gum in your mouth instead. By chewing one piece of gum per hour, you can keep food cravings down for about three hours straight. It is a proven fact, people that chew gum before they snack will take in 25 less calories than someone who doesn’t chew gum.

  2. Step 2

    Sniff some vanilla to avoid food cravings. Take a bottle of vanilla and open it up and inhale. The vanilla extracts strong aroma will saturate your senses and alter your sense of taste. It will also help slash your urge for some sweet treat.

  3. Step 3

    Take a nap. If you miss some sleep then it can cause you to crave food more. It will trigger your appetite suppressing hormone, and makes your body think that if your awake more then it needs more food for energy.

  4. Step 4

    Lift weights to help with food cravings. By building muscles it will help to level out your blood sugar.

  5. Step 5

    Sip slowly on a glass of water throughout the day to avoid food cravings.
