How to Indicate a Carbon Copy Was Sent
The carbon copy feature in email allows you to send an email to your recipient, while also letting another person know the communication that is going on. This can be great for accountability purposes in the workplace or to provide an update to a person who is not directly involved in the matter. When you send the carbon copy, there is a way to indicate to the person you are addressing that you have sent a copy of the message to another person.

1
Type your email message. At the end of the email message, in the signature area, type "CC." After typing CC, notate the name of the person you are sending a carbon copy of the message to. By doing this you are indicating to the primary recipient of the email that the message has been carbon copied to another person.
-
2
Enter the email address of the primary person you are directing the message to. The email address should be entered into the "To" field.
-
-
3
Locate the Carbon Copy (CC) field. The CC field will likely be located between the "To" field and "Subject" field.
-
4
Enter the email address into the CC field for the person you would like to send a carbon copy of the message to. By entering the email address for the person in the CC field, you are indicating again to the primary email recipient that you are carbon copying another person on the email message.

Tips & Warnings
Be sure that you do not enter the email addresses into the "BCC" field, which will blind carbon copy the message. By doing it blindly, the main email recipient will not know that you have sent a copy of the message to another party.
