How to Download Songs From Beatport

Beatport is an online digital electronic music site that offers users the opportunity to discover and download unknown and up and coming house, trance, techno, and hot DJ acts with just the click of a mouse. At just over a dollar a track, downloading electronica music as never been affordable and easier. All that is required is a basic member account and a way to fund it. Signing up takes little time at all and you will be able to download music within minutes.

Instructions

1. Go to the Beatport website (See Resources). Click "Register" under the "Quick Start" menu on the left hand side of the site.

2. Enter in all required personal information and create a unique user name and password. Agree to the Terms of Service by checking the button. Click "Create Account."

3. Check your email and look for a confirmation email sent by Beatport. Open it and click on the link to activate your membership.

4. Type in your user name and password on the upper right hand corner of the screen when you are taken back to the main menu. Browse through the music by clicking on "Genres," "Charts," "DJ Mixes," or by typing in the name of the artist into the search bar.

5. Click "Buy Release" to purchase the entire album or "Buy" to purchase individual songs off of the album. Click on the total of your purchases located in "Crate." This is on the top right hand side of the site. Review your order summary.

6. Click "Account Settings" under "My Account" on the left hand menu tab. Click "Edit Payment Preferences" and enter in your billing information and payment method. Beatport accepts PayPal, American Express, Visa, MasterCard and Solo.

7. Click "Check Out with PayPal" or "Check Out With Card." Go to "Download Library" under your user name on the top right hand side of the site. Click "Download" next to the songs that are ready to download. Click "Save as" to start your download.
