When cooking hamburgers in a microwave oven, use a microwave browning grill for best results. A browning grill is a plate that's specially designed for browning meat in microwave ovens. The grill is preheated in the microwave oven, and when meat is placed on the grill, the hot surface of the plate helps to brown the meat.
