How to Treat Vaginal Itching in Pregnancy
Vaginal itchiness can be due to a pH imbalance in the vagina, a bladder infection, a yeast infection or bacterial vaginosis, an overgrowth of bacteria in the vagina. If you are experiencing vaginal itching, and you are pregnant, there are a few actions you can take before calling your doctor. Pregnant women are prone to getting yeast infections, so don't be alarmed if you get more than one yeast infection during your pregnancy.

1
Drink fluids. The most important step to handling bacteria-related issues in the vagina is to flush out your system. Urinating frequently can help flush out the bacteria in your vagina. Try to drink about gallon of one part 100 percent cranberry juice and four parts water per day.

2
Take a vaginal pH test. Vaginal pH tests are available over-the-counter, online or from your gynecologist's office. If your test results show your vaginal secretions to be particularly acidic, see a doctor.

If your vaginal pH is basic, you most likely have a yeast infection. Treat a yeast infection with an over-the-counter yeast cream like Monistat. If the yeast infection does not go away after a week, see a doctor.

If it burns when urinating, you may have a bladder infection. Take high doses Vitamin C to negate the high levels of bacteria in your urine. If you are still experiencing pain during urination after a few days, call your doctor.
