Make a Kleenex Travel Purse Pack Cover

Sewing a Kleenex travel purse pack cover is an easy craft project that can be completed quickly. Kleenex purse pack covers protect your Kleenex travel pack, keeping your tissues clean and handy. You can use fabric to create the cover and add simple trims for a decorative effect. Make one or several purse packs and use them as gifts.

Things You'll Need:

Sewing the Travel Purse Pack Cover

  1. Step 1

Place two 9-by-6-1/2-inch pieces of fabric together, right sides facing each other. Machine sew 1/4 inch in from the edges of the fabric. Leave a 3-inch opening, so you can turn the fabric right-side out.

  2. Step 2

Gently push the right side of the fabric through the 3-inch opening. Turn the project completely out to the right side of the fabric and lay flat. Smooth the edges of the fabric. Tuck in the 3-inch opening. Iron the fabric flat.

  3. Step 3

Thread the needle and sew the 3-inch opening closed. Lay the fabric flat. Bring each short edge to the center of the fabric and pin. Machine sew along both long edges of the fabric. This will stitch the short ends of the fabric to the center of the purse pack cover. Notice that there is an opening in the center of the fabric, where the two short ends meet.

  4. Step 4

Turn the fabric inside out, with the seams on the inside. Slip a Kleenex travel purse pack inside your new travel purse pack cover.

Tips & Warnings
  • As a finishing touch, add beads, buttons or embroidery to your travel purse pack.
  • When using the sewing machine, carefully remove the pins as you stitch. If the sewing machine needle hits a pin while sewing, the sewing machine needle could bend or break, causing possible injury.
