Instructions

    • 1

Wet your hair before getting into the pool. This way, your hair has already absorbed water other than the pool water.

    • 2

Apply a leave-in conditioner to your hair to form a seal against the pool water and prevent a green tint. You may even use a regular conditioner without rinsing it out. Just work it through your hair.

    • 3

Wash your hair as soon as possible after you get out of the pool. If you can't shampoo, then at least rinse your hair well to remove the pool water.

    • 4

Buy a shampoo and conditioner specially made for swimmers, such as Ultraswim or Aubrey Organics, to use during the summer months or any time you'll be swimming regularly.
