Find a Workout Buddy
Find a Workout Buddy

There are many benefits to having a workout buddy. Having a workout partner can help you stick to your exercise schedule, bring additional motivation to your workouts and make your entire gym experience more fun. Usually, you can find a workout buddy at your local gym, but depending on your schedule, it might be hard to find someone to work out with regularly.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Get to know the people in your gym. If you have a set workout schedule, you should notice that some of the same people are always there when you are. Don't be afraid to say hello and strike up a conversation, although you should wait until after the person is done with their workout. There's a chance that at least one of them is looking for a workout buddy too.

  2. Step 2

Perhaps the people in your gym are more into solo exercise. That's ok, there are other avenues to finding a partner. If you're gym has a bulletin board, then write a little note about looking for a workout buddy and post it on the bulletin board along with a way to contact you. Leave your email address if you don't want to give out your phone number.

  3. Step 3

Turn to the internet. Put out a message on any internet forums that you already use letting people know that you're looking for someone in your area to workout with. Internet forums that are focused on fitness are the best places to do this. You will find lots of like minded individuals and chances are, at least a few of them live in your area.
