How to Write a Father's Day Poem

So you have been looking for the perfect Father's Day gift, and still there is nothing that really tells your dad what he means to you. Father's Day gifts do not have to be purchased from a gift-store-they actually can be handmade-or even hand-written-straight from the heart. This way, you can tell your dad exactly what he means to you...

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

• picture frame
• pretty stationary
• photo of you and your dad
• gift bag
• tissue paper

1. Think about some of your favorite qualities of your father. Include any happy childhood memories, perhaps a favorite moment, or words that describe the type of father that he is.

2. List some of your father's favorite hobbies and incorporate them into the poem. Write about any of your favorite events or occasions-times that may have included fishing, bowling, sport games, camping, or even his favorite dishes cooked out on the grill.

3. Write the poem out by hand first. Then find some pretty decorated paper or stationary to print it out on. Type it out on the computer, and print it on some decorated paper. Purchase a picture frame to place it in. Include a favorite photo of you and your dad to include with the poem.

4. Wrap the framed poem with some tissue paper, place it in a gift bag, and present it with one of your father's favorite snacks, magazines, books, or a Father's day card. He will treasure this for years to come.
