Things You'll Need:
- 12x12 post bound scrapbook with clear page protectors.
- acid free glue
- cardstock
- patterned paper with a school theme
- scissors
- school themed stickers
- any other scrapbook things that you want
- camera
-
Step 1
Buy a post bound 12x12 inch scrapbook with clear page protectors. If you can find one for a decent price, you may want to get one with a school theme on the cover.
-
Step 2
Take pictures at all homeschool events, classes, projects, nature walks and field trips that your child goes to.
-
Step 3
Use a small page (about 4 inches) of acid free paper to write out what all happened during the event. If your child is older, this is an activity they can do for themselves.
-
Step 4
Print out and sort out which pictures you want in the homeschool yearbook. Choose about 3-4 pictures per page or about 6-8 pictures per event.
-
Step 5
Next, scrapbook the pictures for each event. Do one event for each two page spread of the scrapbook. Start with a cardstock base and use the pattern paper to matte your pictures (or however you want to scrapbook it). Add the paper that had the information about the event and add any stickers you want to decorate the page. Do this for each event. At the end of the school year, you will have a nice homeschool yearbook for your child.

on 9/8/2009 Hi, I'm a photographer with a small company that shoots school photos. We have used a kit from Pro Photo Store to help our smaller schools & home schoolers to create their yearbooks for the last couple of years.
You need a program like Photoshop or Photoshop Elements to use it. You can do page layouts for up to 30 students.
It has all the backgrounds, clip art, how to videos and links, fonts, cover layouts, candid layouts, themes, ladder diagrams.
Our schools have seemed very happy with it.

on 5/31/2009 This is an excellent idea Lynn. I am thinking of possibly making this a family project for the coming school year.
