Delicious Wholewheat Pancakes!
Delicious Wholewheat Pancakes!

Start your day right with healthy wholesome whole wheat pancakes. This recipe is easy and healthier than the usual pancakes made with white flour and processed product found in stores. Fake your kids out and make something healthy and tasty. The benefits of whole grains and whole wheat are far superior to white processed flour. It is best to make sure your children acquire a taste for whole grains at a young age.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 2 cups whole wheat pastry flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon each baking powder, baking soda, salt
  • fresh berries
  1. Step 1

Gather 2 cups of whole wheat pastry flour, 1 teaspoon each of salt, baking powder, and baking soda, and mix ingredients together. Add 2 eggs and milk and mix until blended but still a bit lumpy.

  2. Step 2

Preheat griddle or frying pan on medium heat. Spray Pam and vegetable spray can be used versus butter if a healthier pancake is desired. Pour pancake batter in heated pan, about 1/2 cup per pancake. Flip pancake over when "bubbles" start emerging on top of pancake.
cook for another 2-3 minutes on other side.

  3. Step 3

Serve pancakes on plate with favorite topping. Fresh berries and real maple syrup is far healthier than processed syrup containing corn fructose syrup. The natural sugar found in real maple syrup is healthier. Enjoy these pancakes!

Tips & Warnings
  • Try substituting milk with low fat milk or even buttermilk!
