      Before planting your garden, dig about a foot deep. After you have dug about a foot deep get some thin plastic mesh and line the bottom of your garden with it.

      After you have placed, the mesh put the dirt back covering the mesh. This will prevent weeds from growing up through the bottom of your garden.

      After you have finished planting your garden use fresh cut grass to cover any part of the garden where dirt is visible. The grass keeps weeds from growing by not allowing sun exposure, which weeds require to grow.
