How to Kill Weeds In A Vegetable Garden

There is nothing that tastes better than homegrown vegetables. It can be hard work to keep a garden healthy producing quality vegetables. From the day you first plant, seeds to when you begin harvesting your garden weeds can kill your plants. Almost every day you have to get down on your knees combing through your garden picking out weeds. You could try spraying weed killer but you run the risk of killing your plants in the process. There are simple ways to prevent and or completely stop the spread of weeds in your garden without using chemical weed killers.

Things You'll Need

• Plastic mesh
• Grass clippings

Instructions

1. 

   Before planting your garden, dig about a foot deep. After you have dug about a foot deep get some thin plastic mesh and line the bottom of your garden with it.

2. 

   After you have placed, the mesh put the dirt back covering the mesh. This will prevent weeds from growing up through the bottom of your garden.

3. After you have finished planting your garden use fresh cut grass to cover any part of the garden where dirt is visible. The grass keeps weeds from growing by not allowing sun exposure, which weeds require to grow.
