Put On Lip Liner

Lip liner will keep your lips evenly colored all day long.

Follow the steps below to learn how to put on lip liner.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Because lip liner can be very drying, a lip conditioner should be applied first.

  2. Step 2

Make sure that your eyeliner is sharpened to ensure a smooth definite line. Choose a lip liner that closely matches your lipstick color and that coordinates with the color of your clothes. To make your lips appear larger, use a light colored lip liner.

  3. Step 3

Trace the edge of your lips without straying outside the natural line of your lips. While going outside of the lines will make your lips appear larger, it will be obvious to someone standing close to you, that you have put on the lip liner incorrectly.

  4. Step 4

Fill in your lips once you have a complete line around your lips. Lip liner lasts much longer than even the best lipstick. Filling in your lips with lip liner will ensure that you never end up with an embarrassing lip liner line with nude lips when your lipstick wears off prematurely.

  5. Step 5

Apply lip stick on top of the lip liner. Lip gloss or balm can be applied also if desired.
