Does thinking of what to wear to the office in the summer make you break into a sweat? Well, now you can look (and stay) cool with my easy warm weather how to!

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Shoes are the most confusing part of your summer ensemble. You want to stay cool and comfortable, but not look like you are headed for a day at the beach. Skip the flip-flops and chose ballet flats to go with everything from capris to skirts/dresses. For a little height, go for wedges with a slight peep toe.

  2. Step 2

A black sheath dress will be your go to wardrobe essential all summer long. Paired with a bright cardigan to combat high air conditioning, a sheath always looks appropriate and can be dressed up for after-work with sparkly heels and clutch.

  3. Step 3

Capris can definitely be worn at the office if worn a little more dressy. Pair black capris with a kitten heel and a fitted black top for Audrey Hepburn appeal.

  4. Step 4

Nautical looks can be worn at the office because they retain their classic, preppy appeal nicely. Look for blue or black knit tops with small stripes and pair with solid black or white slacks.

  5. Step 5

All those floral dresses you have been saving for garden parties can find themselves at the workplace also. With a floral, all of the accessories need to be toned down. Paired with a neutral colored blazer, a floral skirt or dress is your new business suit!

Tips & Warnings
  • My new favorite top is a bohemian inspired, patterned blousy top that can translate to office wear by pairing with white khakis and gold flats! Very summery and cool!
  • No spaghetti straps, jean cut offs, midriff tops or anything that screams weekend at the beach
