Step 1
In the store, look for large, clean, firm bulbs with unbroken, dry skins. Remove as much of the papery white skin around each garlic clove as you can.

Place the flat side of a knife over a single garlic clove, and gently press down until you hear the skin crack. Remove the clove from the skin.

Mince the clove with a knife if you want a mild garlic taste. If a stronger taste is desired, use a garlic press as it releases more of the garlic oil.

Roast the entire bulb or head of garlic in tin foil at 400 degrees for 30 minutes. After cooling, squeeze the now soft garlic out of each clove right onto a slice of bread for a yummy snack.

To tame your breath after you have eaten all of this garlic, chew on fresh parsley.
