Bee stings can be very painful, and even dangerous is there is an allergic reaction. Bee stings should be treated right away in order to mimimize reactions and start the healing process. Always be cautious of potential serious allergic reactions.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Quickly get away from the area where the bee sting occured. Bees give a signal of trouble to other bees which increases the chance of being stung again by more bees.

  2. Step 2

Only honey bees will leave a stinger behind. Immediately look for a stinger and remove it as quickly as possible.

  3. Step 3

Evaluate the victim for the first hour after being stung to determine if any serious allergic reactions develop, even if they haven't had an allergic reaction to previous bee stings. Symptoms include; rapid pulse, anxiety, hives, shortness of breath, etc. Call 911 immediately if these symptoms develop and administer Benadryl, which will help but not stop the reaction completely.

  4. Step 4

Take a Bendryl and ibuprofen to minimize the reaction and reduce inflammation.
