Learning to string a tennis racquet is a smart decision. It can save you thousands and allow you to make thousands more. While you need a stringer machine (now avaiable in the low100's) one can quickly make that money back and more. Not only do you save money, you will have consistentcy between your racquets and no need to worry about handing your racquet off to uncertainty. Below is a outline of stringing any tennis racquet:

Decide if you will string a one piece or hybrid (two piece) string job

Measure out string accordingly from the reel or pack of string

Find out your racquet string pattern (http://stringquick.com/?page_id=42)

String the mains, making sure to skip the cross grommets

Tie off the short side of the mains if stringing a one piece (tie both sides if stringing a 2 piece)

Start your crosses. One needs to weave all the crosses so that the cross string is alternated "under and over" mains. Simply run your finger over the cross string to make sure it is alternating over the mains"

Tie off you cross string and your finished.

There are some videos that show certain steps on youtube but a great website that offers the full process via dvd is stringquick.com for much cheaper then getting a USRSA membership.
