Things You'll Need:
- 3 squares of semi sweet chocolate
- 1/4 cup white rice flour
- 1/4 cup tapioca flour
- 1/4 cup sorghum flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup margarine or butter
- 1 teaspoon gluten free vanilla
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. xanthan gum
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (if desired)
-
Step 1
Preheat your oven to 350'. Spray or lightly grease a glass or metal 9x9in. square baking pan. Place butter or margarine and chocolate squares in a glass measuring cup and microwave for 1 minute to melt the chocolate. Stir the chocolate until smooth.
-
Step 2
Mix the sugar, eggs and vanilla in a large bowl. Stir in the chocolate and butter mixture and mix until smooth. Now add the 3 flours, baking powder, xanthan gum, and salt. Stir again until smooth. You can either use a hand mixer, whisk or large spoon. I usually just use a spoon.
-
Step 3
Add your nuts and stir one more time. Now pour the mixture into your greased pan. Bake the brownies for 30-35 minutes. (I usually have to bake mine for 35 minutes, but different ovens and altitudes will vary)
Cool the brownies and then cut into squares. They won't last long, I promise you that!
