How to Convert AVI Video Files
With online videos, you may occasionally need to convert from one video format to another, such as from AVI to MPEG or Flash. AVI and MPEG files are most often used for video downloads, while Flash has become the most popular format for online presentations. Fortunately, the process of conversion is quite simple if you have the right software. For this tutorial, we will be using AVS Video Converter, but any similar conversion program should be able to do the same thing.

Open the AVS Video Converter. Go to the right side of the interface and click on the "Browse" button.

Go to the folder on your hard drive where you have saved your AVI files and select the one you want to convert.

Go to the top of the interface and click on the icon of the type you want to convert to, such as "Flash" or "WMV". Then click on the "File Profile" and adjust the particular settings for the output file, such as size and audio type.

Click on the "Browse" button, go to the location where you want to save the file, and give it a name. Click "OK".

Click on "Convert Now" to start converting the AVI file to the format you selected. Depending on the size of the file you are converting, this may take several minutes or more.
