Step 1
Open Adobe Acrobat and browse to find the file you want to format as a booklet. Acrobat can open rich text files and a number of graphics file formats.
-
Step 2
Convert the file into a PDF. Adobe will format it print ready, exactly as you created the file in your word processor or graphics software.
-
Step 3
Choose the "Crop" command on the "Edit" menu and crop your PDF file to a suitable booklet size. Depending upon your needs, the size of your document could stay at standard paper size, or you can cut it down as far as the margins will allow. If you're making a small booklet, increase the margins on your original document before you convert it to PDF.
-
Step 4
Use the "Print" command and choose the two-sided print option. Once the booklet is printed, bind it however you like. Take the booklet to a professional printer who can bind the booklet with a spine, or use staples or glue to do a home-binding job. For a sturdier binding, staple colored cardboard along the edge of the booklet.
-
Step 1
Open the document you want to create as a booklet in a word-processing program. Make sure the document is formatted appropriately.
-
Step 2
Adjust the margins of your document to take into account the size of the booklet you want to turn into a PDF file. Crop the document to the size you want your booklet.
-
Step 3
Save your document as a PDF using the "File" menu and the "Save As" command. Word or WordPerfect will save your file as an Adobe PDF file. Save the file to a disc and take it to a printer for professionally-made booklets, or bind it yourself, as in Step 4 in Section 1.
