Click "Start" on your computer screen. Then select the "Control Panel."

Click the "Add or Remove Programs" button on the Control Panel window. Scroll through the programs window and highlight uTorrent. Click "Remove" to uninstall and remove it from your computer. If it is not in the program folder, move to the next step.

Choose "Start" and then "Run." Type in "%appdata%" (without quotes) on the run window then click "OK."

Locate the uTorrent folder in the "Applications Data Folder." Delete it. Then empty the Recycle Bin.

are you kidding? I hav tried to uninstall this thing for days now trying many INET guides (control panel, add/remove.. etc etc) and could not locate it. Removing the icon only removes the icon from my desktop and I wanted the rogue program GONE since it appeared by itself, overnight. The above WORKED for me so before you comment, why not check the FACTS and DATA, tusker.. sheesh. ALl of the utorrent remove advisories were about the toolbar, which I did not hav.. I wanted the whole program GONE. To remove UTorrent, use the above.. (I used steps 3 & $) it WORKS!

Simply a guide to uninstalling utorrent. This is one of the most stupid sets of instructions I have ever read, and badly misnamed. utorrent itself contains no adware. Almost everybody knows how to do uninstall a program already. It doesn't give help on what to do if you have already downloaded adware, which would be more useful. What is the point of this? Misleading and a waste of everyone's time, the person who wrote this should be ashamed.My advice: scan everything you download with a good, up-to-date antivirus and antispyware software.
