How to Get Rid of Odors in your Foam Couch Cushions/Pillows

Foam absorbs odors constantly. Spills, animals, and smoking are just a few of the things that can quickly turn your beloved couch or cushions into something you can no longer enjoy. For less money and time than you would expect, you can eliminate the odors contained in the foam.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

• Washing machine
• Baking Soda
• Vacuum

1. Remove fabric covering and wash the covering in your washing machine following the manufacture’s instructions.

2. 

   If cushions are wet, set them outside (or in warm area) to dry. Do not do the following until the cushions are dry.
   
   Once dry, liberally sprinkle the cushions with baking soda and rub it in by hand. Repeat on each and every side of the cushions. Repeat on all cushions.
   
   Let set for 24 hours.

3. 

   Vacuum baking soda from the cushions. If you are using a small hand-held vacuum, you will need to empty it out several times during the process.
   
   When finished, slap cushions with palm of hand to dust off and loose baking soda.

4. Reassemble your cushion or couch and enjoy them odor free!
