In this day of high speed communications, it would seem now we need to connect in discussion as fast as if we were talking to the individual in question. Conference calling seems to be a norm anymore. Often times just a quick vocal jot helps. How do you do all this in a day where people are actually looking for peace and quite?

Cell phone IM. How do you get started, glad you asked. I am on with Blackberry so I refernce everything from that stand point.
First your Blackberry must be set up to alert your phone when you get an email. This is done in the email alert section of the phone -

Next, the person you wish to IM must be set up the same way. On your phone front there is an ICON listed as Blackberry Messenger. Trackball to that and push on the trackball.
Next, Click on your menu bar and click on ADD CONTACT. This is where you put the email address of the person you wish to contact. For instance, yourfriend@yahoo.com. Keep in mind this address must be able to alert THAT person when email to them is received. Their Blackberry Messenger ICON will gain a star. They now select that ICON and there will be a request to add you. Once they select yes you are on their contact list. -
Step 4
Next, they scroll to your name, press the trackball and the screen will gain a blue line on the bottom. Start typing/press trackball/send. They will receive an alert on their Blackberry Messenger ICON but they don't check it there. Instead, they go to their MESSAGES ICON on the top of the screen and select it. There will be a smiley face with their message. Click on that and a new screen opens. You type on the bottom blue bar. Press trackbar and SEND.

Your reply will show up on screen. Let the communication begin, During conversation, click the menu button and see all the option provided you such as conferencing, voice text, and pining the person.
Pinging is like giving an extra alert of the message.
