Step 1
Find out what movie theaters are in your area. See if any belong to a chain like AMC theaters.

Get on the computer and look the theaters up online. I found several different groups that offer free movies at the theater during the summertime. Most of these movies start at 10:00am.

Most of the free movies start sometime in June and have movies until the first week or so in August. Some theaters show a free movie once a week and others have 2 shows to pick from each week on the specified days.

Bow-Tie Cinemas's has a free Kid's Club Film Series. I've posted their link below.

Regal Entertainment Group has a Free Family Film Festival in many states. Just go to the link below and see if your state has some of their theaters in it.

Kerasotes Theater also offer free G and PG movies throughout the summer.

Sunrise Cinemas's admission is just 50 cents for their summertime movies.

Cinemark has Summer Movie Clubhouse which isn't unfortunately free, but it is cheap. All 10 movies can be purchased in advance for $5.00, or can be purchased separately at the box office for $1.00 per show.

Harkins Theaters have a deal similar to Cinemark's.

Classic Cinemas's summer movie's admission is $1 per person.

AMC's movies are $1 a person, but ALL admission proceeds from AMC Summer MovieCamp will benefit Variety – The Children's Charity and the Will Rogers Institute.

Georgia Theatre Company's summer kid show series has a $1 per show admission cost.

Dickinson Theaters has as couple of states and theaters that are offering free movies this summer. The cost varies at the different theaters. For some it is a fund raising deal for the local schools with 8 movies costing you $12.50.

Local libraries might also be having free summertime movies, but those are general held outdoors and not in the theaters.
