Nowadays, jobs cuts are happening frequently and companies are less eager to hire people during these hard times. While most are feeling the pinch, with or without a job, there are still plenty of ways to make money regardless of the economic situation.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Start making money online. Despite the work at home scams that are flooded throughout the Internet, there are many real jobs online although searching for them is like a diamond in the rough. Look at job websites-- Genuinejobs or Pcworkathome to see what they offer. Another thing to do is start your own business-- eBay, Amazon or Half.com is one of the biggest websites where millions of people are making their profits so if you have old clothes, nice jewelry, books, home appliances you want to sell, these are the websites to join. If you are thinking about quick money from eBay, try reading Absolute Beginner's Guide to eBay; a great guidebook for a newcomer who needs tips on starting a successful eBay business.

  2. Step 2

Host a garage or yard sale. People are trying to find ways to spend less money and look for great bargains and setting up your own garage sale it is one of the best things to do during this tough economy. Place an ad in your local paper or put flyers on bulletin boards in your neighborhood stores, or on trees to attract buyers to the sale.

  3. Step 3

Put your talents to work. Everyone has a hobby he or she enjoy and can make a few bucks out of it. If you like interior painting, you can create your own painting service and build up customers for your job. On the other hand, if you love shopping, become a shopping assistant for others. Advertise your services locally on websites such as Craigslist or in the newspaper. With certain job such as painting, hair styling, etc, you can also create a website to display your work and set up prices.

  4. Step 4

Use your connections with others to get a job. Whether you are seeking a job or a second one for additional income, ask family or friends if there are any open positions at the company they work at. This is easier and less straining instead of looking for a job daily when you know someone that may have connections to get you hired.
