By following this easy instruction you will stop ants from parading across your kitchen floors and counters. It will be effective in other rooms of your home as well

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Pyrex measuring cup or any other cup with a pouring spout
  • white vinegar
  1. Step 1

Pour vinegar up to the 1/3 cup mark on your Pyrex cup. If you are using a cup or pitcher that does not have measurement marks, then pour the vinegar into a 1/3 cup measuring cup and from there into a cup with a spout.

  2. Step 2

Most of us don't notice the ants until they are "underfoot" or forming a line across our kitchen counters, floors or up/down the wall. So before you start swatting or stomping, follow them back to their entry.

  3. Step 3

Once you have located the point of origin, pour a thin, steady stream across the entire area. For example, they enter my kitchen from under the baseboard at an area near my back door. I pour the vinegar on the floor at the bottom of the baseboard.

Tips & Warnings
  • You may have to retreat the area a short time later. But if you persist, you will stop their entry.
  • I know the vinegar does not harm carpet or no-wax linoleum. However, I have never used it on wood floors. I know most wooden floors are sealed but would suggest you test first by placing a very small drop in an out-of-the way place and checking to see if it causes any discoloration.
