Microsoft PowerPoint is part of the Microsoft Office Suite program library and is used to create slide presentations. To edit a PowerPoint presentation, it must be in PowerPoint format (.ppt or .pptx). For example, a presentation that has been converted to a Quicktime movie and is now in .mov format, cannot be edited in PowerPoint. However, if you still have the original .ppt or .pptx file used to create the movie, you can edit that and create an updated movie.
