1
Check to make sure that there is not another interfering electronic source that may be causing a buzz. For example, a television or computer monitor can cause interference and produce a buzzing sound.
-
2
Change the pickup setting on your guitar to see if there is a reduction in the buzz. Often, if the pickup selector is set to the bridge pickup, a buzzing noise may be created.

3
Make sure that the overdrive on the amplifier is turned off. If the overdrive is turned on, you will naturally hear a buzzing sound.

4
Check to make sure that your power source is properly grounded. You can do this by using a socket tester for the socket that you have your amplifier plugged into. If it is not properly grounded, try a different outlet.

Check to see if your preamp tubes are worn out or need to be replaced. A guitar technician will be able to let you know if you need to replace any tubes on your Fender amp.
