How to Cut Wooden Script Letters
Some things just scream "Welcome home!" One of those is a large, lovely wooden script letter. Traditionally, a home would display the first letter of the last name on either the front door or in a prominent window facing the street. Now, that tradition can flourish with this simple procedure. You can make the letter as large or small as you like, depending on either the size of your stencil or your ability to freehand a script letter.
Things You'll Need
- Wood board (1 inch thick, but the length and width and type of wood are up to you)
- Pencil
- Script letter template or stencil
- Saw table
- Eye protection
- Jig saw
- Sandpaper (100 grit)
Instructions
-
-
1
Place a letter template or stencil on your wood board.

3
Place the wood board on a saw table or block and put on your eye protection.
