Instructions

    • 1

Shower and shave your underarms. After your shower, run cold water on your underarms to close the pores. After thoroughly drying, dust your underarms with baking soda which will help to absorb perspiration.

    • 2

Eat a diet high in fiber, including wheat, whole grains, soy and leafy green vegetables. These foods will help reduce perspiration.

    • 3

Avoid processed foods and foods that are high in sugar and hydrogenated oils. Also avoid caffeine. These foods increase perspiration.

    • 4

Add one tsp. of dried sage to eight ounces of boiling water and let steep for 15 minutes. Strain and drink the tea two to four times a day. Sage tea is believed to be an effective home remedy for excessive perspiration.

    • 5

Take 30 to 50mg of zinc daily. Zinc is effective in reducing perspiration.

Tips & Warnings

  • Antiperspirants with aluminum chlorohydrate are more effective than others. A soft solid is better at blocking the sweat glands to reduce sweat than other types of antiperspirants.
