If all that gooey chocolate isn't satisfying, the pecans will push it to another level with the condensed milk.

What most people do is sprinkle the pecans on top of the shaped cookie dough before they bake. Placing the pecans on the dough can be tricky as there is not much area to stick on (some pecans will fall off after baking). So, we will incorporate them into the batter before baking, it is where this chocolate pecan cookie recipe is a bit different than others.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 2-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1-1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons real vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 12-ounce condensed milk
  • 3.5-ounce Baker's chocolate chips
  • 1-1/2 cups toasted chopped pecans
  1. Step 1

    ** (Flour Mixture) **
    In a small bowl, combine baking soda, milk, flour and salt. Reserve.

    ** (Egg Mixture) **
    Beat eggs, brown sugar, butter and vanilla extract in large bowl.

  2. Step 2

    Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

    Gradually mix the egg mixture into the flour mixture, blend well. Stir in pecan nuts and chocolate chips.

  3. Step 3

    Prepare non-greased baking sheet. Drop batter by one tablespoonfuls on the baking sheet. Bake in preheated oven, 375 degrees F for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown. Cool at least 10 minutes on a wire rack before serving.
