Things You'll Need:
- Electronic Cords
- Rubber Bands
-
Step 1
Start by shutting down all the electronic equipment that has the cords you will be making neat. Each appliance or equipment should be off and the cords unplugged.
-
Step 2
Untangle Each CordCarefully, untangle the cords so each cord is separate and ready to be put together neatly. This may take a little time depending on the number of cords you have to clean.
-
Step 3
Once the cords are separated, take time to individually decide how much length you need for the cord to get to the equipment and the outlet without having too much extra.
-
Step 4
Use any old rubber band! Free is best!!Once you have enough cord, neatly wrap up the excess cord and tie it up in the rubber band tightly. This will be easy to do by twisting the rubber band.
-
Step 5
Each will be neat (and collectively it will be neater!)Repeat this process for every cord in your cord nest. This will reduce the cords being wrapped up in each other and make the nest neat and tidy.
-
Step 6
Once you have all your cords wrapped, lay the cords out neatly and plug the cords back into the outlets and the electronic equipment. You will notice an immediate difference on how this makes your house look
-
Step 7
Each cord will lay neatly next to the wall outlet.Continue with your cord cleaning by wrapping every cord that is messy in the house. This will help clean up your clutter and you will be able to touch every cord without worrying about unplugging a piece of electronics at the wrong time by bumping it.
