Smoothies are simple to prepare and require very little cleanup, so they're excellent when you're in a hurry. You can add 1/2 a cup of tofu to this recipe to thicken the smoothie and add protein, or add a handful of oats to add fiber. Add one or two pitted dates and a touch of cinnamon to your strawberry banana smoothie to add sweetness if you prefer to use unsweetened yogurt.   • 1 cup strawberries
  • 1/2 banana
  • 1/2 cup fruit juice
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 vanilla yogurt
  • Blender
  • Milkshake glass or thermal cup

      Place all ingredients in blender. Break banana into small chunks to ensure smoothie blends well.

      Put lid on blender. Turn blender to "Blend." Blend for approximately 1 minute or until smooth.
