Things You'll Need:
- Broom
- Dust Pan
- Mop
- Bucket
- Water
- Floor cleaner of your choice
- Windex (optional)
- Trash Can with a trash bag

Step 1
Sweeping the Kitchen FloorWith the broom, sweep the dirt or crumbs of entire kitchen and/or dining room floor into a pile.

Step 2
Sweep into a Dust Pan.Sweep the pile with the broom into the dust pan.
Dispose of pile into the trash can bag.
When mopping is need continue on to step 3. -
Step 3
Fill Bucket with Water and Floor CleanerFill the bucket with water and add the floor cleaner of your choice.

Step 4
Mop the FloorDecided which way you wish to leave the kitchen and/or dining room after the floor is mopped. Start at the opposite end of the kitchen and/or dining room. Put the mop into the bucket and ring out any excess water. Mop the floor in a left and right or back and forth motion. Mop a small area and then repeat this step until the entire floor is mop.

Step 5
Put Cleaning Supplies AwayTake a break until the floor is dry.
Put away the cleaning supplies unless doing the optional step 6.
I suggest step 6 about once a month. -
Step 6
Windex will make the floor shine.For an extra shine:
Spray Windex on the floor starting at the opposite end of the kitchen and/or dining room that you wish to exit. Spray a small section and then wipe with the damp mop. Repeat until the entire kitchen is done.
When the floor is dry, put away all cleaning supplies.
