How to Fill Out a Job Application Properly
A job application is the first thing that an employer looks at when deciding whether or not you are a suitable candidate for a job opening, so it needs to be filled out thoroughly and correctly. Here are some of the most important parts of a job application and how to fill them out properly so that you win the interview.

1
Always, always include a reliable contact telephone number. There are many people who turn in job applications that don't even include a number for an employer to call; you'll never get the job that way! At the very least, make sure to provide the number of a trusted message phone.

2
Don't leave any space open at all on a job application. The majority of people turn in job applications that are incomplete, which is highly irritating to employers. If there is a job application question that does not apply to you, write N/A or "Not Applicable" so that it is clear that you did not choose to just skip the question. Thoroughness is extremely important while filling out job applications.

3
Don't lie about your work history. Many employers do a complete check of references and job histories, so don't slip little white lies into your job applications; you're likely to get caught!

4
Include a resume (and possibly a cover letter) with your completed job application. Just because you hand in a resume doesn't mean that you don't have to fill out the job application-do both, and you will likely get a call back for a job interview.
