There are several ways to remove the soap scum from your glass shower doors and walls. This article will cover three ways that work on soap scum.

Vinegar is a great safe way to remove soap scum from your glass. The first step is to put full strength vinegar in a spray bottle.

Spray the glass in the shower with vinegar and allow it to sit for 5 minutes. Then wipe clean with a sponge and water.

Another way that works for soap scum is to use a Magic Eraser Sponge. Either a Generic or Mr. Clean Eraser will work.

First wet the sponge and squeeze off excess water. Then scrub the walls until the soap scum is removed and rinse with water.

The final method is to use one of the many cleaners available in stores. Kaboom has worked well for me.

To use Kaboom spray the cleaner on the glass and allow it to sit for a few minutes.

Then wipe the shower doors clean with a sponge and lots of water. Do not allow the cleaner to dry on the glass or walls.

Now that the soap scum is removed from shower door here is how to keep it away. Using Rain-X on your shower doors will not only keep the soap scum away it will also keep your shower looking clean.

To apply the Rain-X spray it on a soft cloth and apply it in a circular motion to the shower doors.

Then using a clean cloth buff the shower door until the haze disappears on the glass.

Then take another clean cloth and do a final buffing in circular motion to rub off the last of the residue.

Now the water will bead off the shower door just like they would off your car windshield. The best part is each morning the water just runs off and there are no more spots on your shower doors. They will look brand new clean everyday.

Tips & Warnings
For the magic eraser use a little elbow grease to get hard water stain off as well.
Reapply the Rain-X when the water stops beading.
Make sure that the shower doors are dry before you start any cleaning method otherwise the cleaner or vinegar will just run off.
If using cleaners make sure to run your bathroom fan when cleaning and use gloves. The fumes and chemicals can be harmful.
