Things You'll Need:
- 2 large tomatoes
- 1 green onion
- cilantro (fresh or dry)
- cumin
- chili powder or fresh jalapeño
- sea salt
- 1 lime
-
Step 1
Start with fresh, ripe, organically-grown tomatoes. These taste the best, and their flavor really comes out in a raw salsa! Wash and pat dry all the vegetables and fresh herbs. Chop the tomatoes and onion and place them into a bowl. If using a fresh jalapeño, carefully seed and chop it finely, and add it to the bowl.
-
Step 2
Chop the cilantro (if using fresh herb). Add cilantro to taste, about 1/2 teaspoon cumin, 1/2 teaspoon chili powder, and 1 teaspoon of sea salt to the tomato mixture. Toss gently.
-
Step 3
Squeeze about half a lime over the top and toss the fresh salsa. You can serve it just as it is, or if you like salsa that is less chunky, process it in a blender for a few seconds. Serve room temperature or chilled in a bowl garnished with cilantro and lime. ¡Disfrútala!
