Write a successful eHow Article

Writing a successful article on eHow is simple. Understand the process of Search Engine Optimization, and apply it to a quality piece of writing, and your article will be a success.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Internet Connection
  • Computer
  1. Step 1

The first step to writing a successful article on eHow is to make sure you have a good topic. Pick something you already know a lot about, or something you can easily research. This will allow you to write intelligently on the subject- a must for a successful article on eHow.

  2. Step 2

Use the Google Adwords keyword search tool, in conjunction with Google search, to determine the best phrasing for your keyword. (See my other articles on these topics) Do Not pick a keyword phrase that will be difficult to work into your sentences without sounding ‘clunky’- In other words, make sure your prose flows.

  3. Step 3

Once you have the keyword phrase, write your article. A good lead-in is very important to a successful article on eHow. The steps should be clear and easily understood. Remember- the people reading your article typically will need to be walked through the process slowly and carefully. Don’t assume everyone knows what you’re talking about.

  4. Step 4

Ensure that you use your keyword phrase consistently throughout the article, to ensure that search engines place you high on their list. The more times you use your phrase, the higher you will go on the results page. If you can make it to the front page of a Google search, you are sure to have a successful article on eHow.

Tips & Warnings
  • Proofread your article for grammar, spelling, and overall flow. It should be easy to read and to follow, without confusing the average person. Incoherent writing does not make for a successful article on eHow.
  • Don't EVER copy information from someone else and post as your own. Plagiarism is wrong, as well as being illegal if the content has a copyright.
